Some hosts offer logs, others stats, some counters. Rosserver.com makes all of these available to you do use as you please. We offer a very nice counter, with many styles colors, and functions, and it's advertisement free. You won't waste your time with counters after you see the great graphical statistics that come standard with every Rosserver.com account. Some of you use other programs, like spreadsheets and 3rd party graphics. I completely understand, I have been terribly disappointed with the Statistics offered by some hosts, The raw logs are stored right on your site, feel free to export them into whatever format you desire. Back to the top Counters That little odometer looking graphic at the bottom of many web pages, often bearing a link to LE or someone, is the only way many web masters have to tell how many visitors they have had. They can be considered ugly and distracting. The little link to some one elses site is a great way to loose a customer. They may reveal how new, unpopular, or inexperienced you are with a low low number. Some services give smart counters, that don't count reloads, I had one that even incremented if I resized my browser page. Our Counters, are programmable. Choose the style, graphical, text, futuristic, even make your own. Choose the function, count, date, time. Choose to increment on reloads or not, same visitor - same day or not. Put both kinds on the same page, make them invisible if you like. And best of all start the numbers anywhere you like, pick up where your old counter left off, or make something up and change it as often as you like from your server control panel. Back to the top Graphical Statistics The only good reason I can think of to use a counter on our system is to display the number or time/date to your visitors. The Graphical Statistics are so good that you will want to visit them every day. They work without the need for a counter, or little graphic to display on each page. They tell you hits, visitors, files and bytes. They have times, browsers used, even country of origin. They compute your busiest times and most popular pages. The referral information will tell you where your visitors clicked thru from and where your banners are being displayed. You can even keep track of missing file reports, bad links, and script errors to debug your web site's code. This is one of the best buttons to push on the fabulous Server Control Panel. And a perfectly good reason to choose Rosserver.com as your Web Host. Back to the top
